Rules and Terms of TRC Art & Photo Contests

Eligibility

The contest is open to all—professional and amateur artists—regardless of age, gender, or nationality.

Organizer

The competition is organized by The Resilience Collaborative (hereafter referred to as “TRC”). For brevity, the “Art Competition” will be referred to as “Competition.” Participants are referred to as “artists,” and submitted works (photography or illustration) are referred to as “projects.”

Agreement

By participating, artists confirm they have read and accepted the terms, regulations, and privacy policy of the TRC.

Duration

The competition has a specific duration. No entries will be accepted after the closing date.

Age

Only adults may participate. Minors may submit projects only with guardian consent.

Terms of Agreement – Authorization

Artists may update or remove their personal data at any time by contacting TRC via email (TRC.Community@georgeinstitute.org) or through the platform.

Communication

Artists agree that their email may be used by the Company to provide updates about the competition and future art-related news.

Copyright

  • Artists must be the sole copyright holders of submitted works.
  • Works using third-party intellectual property will be disqualified, and the artist held accountable.
  • Artists retain all copyrights to their works.
  • Consent (written) must be obtained from individuals depicted in submitted works, especially if they are in the foreground.
  • By submitting, artists authorize TRC to use their works for promotional purposes (social media, website, print, etc.) with proper credit.
  • TRC cannot control unauthorized third-party use of images online.

Submission Specifications

  • Artists may submit a series or individual projects.
  • Winners must provide high-resolution versions upon request.

Announcement of Selected Artworks

  • Artists of the Selected Artworks to be presented will be notified via email.
  • Artists may be required to sign a form providing consent for usage.

Restrictions

  • Images featuring people require signed consent.
  • Works depicting vulnerable groups in ways that could cause harm will not be accepted.
  • Projects promoting violence, fascism, or offensive symbolism are prohibited.
  • Stock photos or illegally downloaded images are not permitted.
  • Only original works are accepted; screenshots are forbidden.
  • Discreet watermarks are allowed but discouraged.

Evaluation

  • Each entry undergoes an initial review, which may take up to a week.
  • If an entry is not visible within two weeks, it has been disqualified.

Jury

Each competition will have its own jury. Selected projects will be selected by the jury.

Awards

Awards vary by competition and will be announced on the relevant page/social media post.

Contest Cancellation and Amendments

TRC reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time. Participants are responsible for staying informed of updates.

Sensitive Data

Artists are solely responsible for the content they share. Submissions revealing sensitive personal data (racial/ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health, sexual orientation, etc.) may be disqualified.

Liability

TRC assumes no responsibility for technical errors, theft, viruses, or damages related to participation. No warranties or financial compensation are provided.

Agreement Confirmation

By participating, artists confirm they have read and agreed to all terms, conditions, and policies governing the competition.
