Consultative Workshop on Updating the TRC Evidence Toolkit “Building Health Worker Resilience: A Toolkit to Protect Against Burnout on The Front Lines”

Background

The Centre for Health Worker Innovation (CHWI) developed a toolkit - “Building Health Worker Resilience: A Toolkit to Protect Against Burnout on the Front Lines” in 2021 as part of TRC. The toolkit aimed to support organizations looking to equip the global health workforce with tools to manage their own well-being, ensuring they are capable of continuing to deliver high quality healthcare to vulnerable populations across the globe. The toolkit was primarily for organizations, decision-makers, program managers, and implementers supporting health workers. It was designed to help organizations navigate available evidence to inform the design, implementation and evaluation of health worker resilience programs.

About the Workshop
Date: Friday, July 5th, 2024
Place: Hyderabad, India & Online (Hybrid Session)

In this workshop, we will revisit the existing TRC toolkit “Building Health Worker Resilience” and determine what could be the scope for revised version. The TRC at TGI is collaborating with health workers and leaders to gather qualitative feedback on the 2021 toolkit from real-world applications. These insights will be presented at the workshop to provide context. During the workshop, hosts will share user experience findings, review recent evidence on health worker resilience, outline principles for toolkit development, and co-design a prototype for the next version. The workshop aims to unite experts, program managers, health leaders, academics, and frontline health workers for a holistic and participatory approach to resource creation. In this meeting, the primary objective is to build on the guiding principles for co-creation of resources and categorizing evidence. In summary, we will collaboratively identify and set criteria, laying the groundwork for updating resources that seek to build health worker resilience.
